Zac treated him like you would think someone would for a beloved family member, not someone you had met a few hours earlier!
My husband has not been home since December 3rd. It is April 20th now. He’s been at hospitals, skilled nursing rehabs, and this hospital 3 times. He’s had many wonderful nurses during this time, but truly one of the most outstanding has been Zac, an ICU (RN) nurse. My husband had been on the 5th floor during a blood pressure crisis and was moved to the ICU.

Zac was his nurse on his first full day in the ICU. Zac has the wonderful, and often rare, combination of being professional, yet personal, and extremely loving and kind. Zac makes you feel like you matter and are important. Zac made a point to really help us understand everything that was going on. He’d even do drawings on the whiteboard to help us understand.

Since it was my husband’s first day in the ICU, he had a lot happening, and Zac kept us informed every step of the way, never leaving out even the smallest detail. Zac treated him like you would think someone would for a beloved family member, not someone you had met a few hours earlier! Zac celebrated with us, each milestone of improved stats. Zac truly got us all through a very rough, intense first day in the ICU.

We were truly blessed to have Zac as my husband’s nurse on day #3 in the ICU again. It is just such a comfort to feel like you matter and are being treated/cared for with the highest level of excellent care with a personal touch! Zac made a point on day one to relay his extensive health challenges to the night nurse, staying 30 minutes late to make sure she knew everything during shift change.

Zac took every question he had, if he didn’t know the answers like a different brand name of a drug, he googled it, and found out the answer for my husband. Zac worked hard to alleviate any, and all concerns my husband had for anything. Can’t brag on him enough and appreciate the amazing job, nurse, and person he is!.
