My mom, who has dementia, was the patient. She had fallen and was being treated for a broken kneecap. Her dementia caused a tremendous amount of agitation, and she lashed out at the nurses and me in ways I had not experienced. It was a very difficult moment for me, and for my mom, but Hailey was not only professional and careful with my mom, but she was also kind and professional with me.

I became a little emotional as I watched what my mom was going through, and Haley took a moment to simply put her hand on my shoulder. She not only read the room with wisdom and grace, but she also offered kindness to me. She continued to treat my mom with dignity and compassion throughout her stay.
