I am writing to enthusiastically recognize Jessica for her extraordinary and compassionate care provided to the 46 adolescents under her care. Jessica consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that each of these young individuals, who are underprivileged and face the additional challenges of mental illness, receive the individual care they need and deserve. Her advocacy for her patients is particularly noteworthy.
Recently, a patient, who is hard of hearing, arrived without his cochlear implants. Recognizing the significant impact this would have on his ability to communicate and connect, Jessica immediately took action. She navigated the necessary channels to ensure he received new cochlear implants as quickly as possible, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to meeting the immediate and crucial needs of her patients. Furthermore, Jessica's dedication to this patient's well-being extends beyond simply addressing his immediate medical needs. Showing remarkable empathy and foresight, she has begun taking sign language classes to better communicate and connect with him on a deeper level.
