It is with great pleasure that I nominate Chris Buckner, nurse manager for Behavioral Health. Chris came to Behavioral Health from the ARMC Emergency Department in August 2024. He is a compassionate and caring leader who exemplifies our Cone Health's commitment to the community and team members. Chris is always right here with our patients and his staff as a present and engaged leader. His calm and gentle demeanor provides comfort and reassurance to patients and patient families when they need it the most. Chris is always willing to spend time with patients and families to assure them that they are seen and heard. He fosters an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration with all stakeholders who impact the quality of patients' care. He is committed to being a servant leader and has propelled his team to aspire to be their best each day.
