She didn’t treat my daughter just as a patient; she tried to make her feel like a normal child, encouraging her to live with her condition without fear or shame.
When my little daughter was diagnosed with diabetes, it was a new and very difficult experience for my family, especially for me and my daughter. We didn’t know how to deal with the situation, and our feelings were a mix of fear and anxiety. From the very first day in the hospital, Nurse Zainab was by our side, and her presence made a huge difference in our journey.

Zainab was always there, not just during check-ups or appointments, but even outside working hours, she would contact me to check on my daughter and give me advice or support if I needed it. She made sure to simplify information, explain everything calmly, and answer all our questions, no matter how simple. What makes Zainab stand out more than anyone else is that she truly understood our emotional state and our circumstances. She didn’t treat my daughter just as a patient; she tried to make her feel like a normal child, encouraging her to live with her condition without fear or shame.

Even for me, she would always say, “You’re not falling short; what you’re doing is enough,” and those words would comfort me and give me motivation. We went through difficult days, and sometimes we would get stressed or afraid of any change in my daughter’s condition. Zainab was always the first person we would turn to. We trust her opinion because she is honest, and we know she cares from the heart, not just as part of her job. Nurse Zainab truly was a real support for us from day one. Her approach was dignified and humane, and she was the main reason we were able to adapt and understand how to live with this disease without fear.
