Ms. Eckenrode earned their Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Scranton. During their studies, they worked as a Nursing Assistant at Geisinger Community Medical Center and participated in the Nurse Extern program. These experiences enriched their understanding of patient care and laid a strong foundation for their nursing career.

Upon graduation, Ms. Eckenrode began their nursing career in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. They chose Geisinger because they believed it was the ideal place to grow into the nurse they aspired to be. Every day, Ms. Eckenrode feels grateful for the opportunities and support that Geisinger provides, helping them continuously develop their skills and expertise.

The most rewarding aspect of working at Geisinger Wyoming Valley for Ms. Eckenrode is the incredible team of co-workers in the ICU. These colleagues have become like family, offering unwavering support and camaraderie. The strong bonds formed with the ICU team have been instrumental in shaping Ms. Eckenrode into the dedicated nurse they are today.

What Ms. Eckenrode cherishes most about their job is the connections they build with patients and their families.
