He truly deserves to be recognized as our Frontline Nurse Leader for years now. He is very quick in dealing with patient related issues that are not resolved on the level of the Primary RNs. He is an exceptional and very patient coach too, especially in improving our Pain Assessment Scores and Barcode Medication Compliance Scores for the past years, leading us to be the top performing Medical Surgical Unit on those parameters. Furthermore, he is very supportive to everyone who is in need. He doesn’t mind doing some tasks which are normally carried out by a Unit Clerk, CNA, Housekeeping, Dietary, or even Transportation Staff, as his goal is that all patients that stay in our unit will have a pleasant experience and a nursing team that doesn’t feel drained/exhausted. Moreover, he has an uplifting persona that constantly motivates our patients and their families to improve, and inspires us, his colleagues, to be more resilient in the face of changes and to provide the best care possible to everyone. Lastly, Rog has had ideas in the past that helped us to manage our job effectively in a timely manner, which not all leaders have these traits. Truly, we are blessed to have him here in UMC.
