I was in a position during my labor and delivery that Heather advocated on my behalf to the doctors and voiced her concerns when things were not being executed in the manner in which they should have been. She made sure I was comfortable the entire time during my 17, almost 18-hour labor. She made sure I received all medication within a timely manner and adequately cared for my family as well, and made them feel as if they were family. Heather is such a caring labor and delivery nurse and made us fully aware that she would do anything we needed during our time on the unit. I was a nervous wreck, and the nurse prior made me very upset with how she presented herself and cared for me in just a few short hours, so when Heather appeared, I informed her immediately that I would be having my son while she was on shift, so I didn't deal with anyone else. She ensured I progressed precisely as I needed, and even during my adrenaline rushes, she made sure I was never uncomfortable or upset. I highly recommend her, and I will request her specifically if I ever have the opportunity to give birth at Womack again. At one point, the doctor who delivered my child acted inappropriately and inflicted inappropriate pain upon me, and Heather made sure to correct that as soon as it happened to prevent it from happening to others.
