In her opinion, it isn't enough to just see the numbers or the reports, but rather, she is constantly thinking of how we can improve the patient's experience because of them.
Meredith joined St. Luke’s at the end of 2023 and since walking through the doors has made and continues to make incredibly meaningful changes for our hospital, our staff, and our patients. She started in the Nursing Informatics Manager role at a time when there were many transitions occurring and jumped in without hesitation, working to improve practice with an emphasis on both safety and quality. She has taken ownership of her role while facing the challenge of learning an entirely new EMR system. Meredith’s knowledge of and experience with other hospital systems consistently helps us look critically at processes and is so valuable. She is persistent (in the best way possible), advocates for what is right for our profession, and most importantly, leads by example.

Meredith loves data more than anyone I have ever met. She has the ability to use this information to explain things in a way that makes sense - even though most of us are not as skilled as her at interpreting this information. Most importantly, when she sees data that is meaningful, she wants to ensure that we are doing something with it, not just looking at it. In her opinion, it isn't enough to just see the numbers or the reports, but rather, she is constantly thinking of how we can improve the patient's experience because of them.

Meredith has a desire to share her love of both nursing and informatics, and has very quickly gotten herself placed on the favorites list of many staff members in the time she has been here. She is known for getting things done and doing her best to address issues that are brought to her.

She has taken on projects and challenges that many would have let pass by, but she recognizes the importance Nursing Informatics plays in our hospital and that there is a constant need for change to be made.

I can’t wait to see everything that Meredith continues to do as she challenges St. Luke's to improve so we can positively impact the patient care that we provide.
