This unit received an impressive 10 total TEAM nominations during the month of March 2025 (including submissions from providers, family members, and also fellow nurses). Here are some of the highlights from the stack of nominations:
The NCC nursing team is one of my favorites to collaborate with as a clinician. They welcome rehabilitation and are happy and willing to support as needed. They take the time to get to know their patients and situations. They are advocates, and it is evident.
***
As a family member, it’s not often that you witness such a seamless, supportive team in a hospital setting; it was like a breath of fresh air. I always felt reassured knowing that if I had to step away, my father was in the best hands. These nurses embody everything the DAISY Award represents, and I believe they are the most deserving of this honor for the outstanding care and teamwork they provide every day.
***
From managing complex procedures to offering emotional support to patients and families, they handle each situation with professionalism and compassion. This team’s dedication to helping each other and their unwavering commitment to their patients make them truly deserving of this prestigious recognition. Their selflessness, dedication, and seamless cooperation set them apart as a model of excellence in nursing.
***
The collaboration I see on this unit is unparalleled. The teamwork, dedication, and commitment they show daily are truly inspiring.
***
The most unique and inspiring aspect of this unit is that the ICU and acute care nurses are on one team, and together they are able to care for neurologically injured patients through the continuum of care from ICU to acute care.
***
Despite being a newly established unit, the team has seamlessly come together to provide the highest standard of care to our patients. Each nurse consistently goes above and beyond, creating an environment of trust, empathy, and collaboration. Whether it’s assisting with complex procedures, advocating for patients’ needs, or offering emotional support, they demonstrate a remarkable commitment to patient well-being. Their ability to work together as a cohesive unit while maintaining the highest level of clinical expertise makes them truly deserving of this recognition.
