My father is a regular patient at VHC and is always treated with compassion, respect, and great care by all the VHC staff. On one particular visit, Dad was not doing well when we arrived, and he was extremely anxious and very resistant to leaving the waiting room to be treated. He physically resisted me, his daughter, so the technicians went to get RN, Marie D.

Marie immediately came to the waiting room and calmly assessed the situation professionally, even with my dad yelling and resisting. Then Marie very appropriately was able to lift my dad with some assistance into the hospital wheelchair to help him get back to the treatment room. Marie was calm under pressure, gentle with her patients, and firm in helping them physically when they were weak. As a physician myself at another hospital, I am highly impressed by Marie’s expertise, care, wisdom, and calming demeanor with my dad. You are extremely blessed to have RN Marie on your team.
