The best supervisors understand not just the professional needs of their staff but also the emotional needs of their employees. Christina leads with empathy. She has built a positive emotional culture amongst the staff.
Christina brings various assets to her role, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have her as my supervisor. Christina is dedicated to her role and attentive to her staff in meeting their needs, as well as ensuring our MCI patients are receiving the highest quality of care. She is always positive and projects a sense of calm under all circumstances. When Christina came to us as our supervisor, we were a department of ten employees. Our department now has twenty-one employees, more than doubled, yet her attentiveness to each staff member has remained constant. She intently listens to the concerns of her staff and takes initiative to address any suggestions brought forth. Christina tirelessly supports and champions our team's interests. She advocates on our behalf, promotes our achievements, and is a strong voice for our team to higher management. Christina has immensely contributed to the growth and success of our department, including impressive employee retention within the department. Christina adheres to the guidelines set by Baptist Health; however, she is always fair and considerate when having to make tough decisions. The best supervisors understand not just the professional needs of their staff but also the emotional needs of their employees. Christina leads with empathy. She has built a positive emotional culture amongst the staff. I experienced the devastating loss of a two-year-old boy whom I used to often care for. Christina was so supportive of me during that challenging time. She understood the magnitude of this loss and to my surprise she arranged for a "Code Lavender." It was such a compassionate meaningful action to know she took the time to organize the opportunity for me to meet with pastoral services, my department leaders to allow me to share my grief, a time to pray together with my work family. She meets all the values expected from a leader.
