Wilfredo is a great student who will assist in any way. He exhibits great leadership skills as he ensures his classmates get the assistance they need during each clinical session. He is hardworking and has displayed excellent and sound judgment required for a leader. He has a sense of ambition, tempered by empathy and compassion. I see him as a role model to other nursing students, male and female. From the time I met him, I have witnessed tremendous growth in Wilfredo’s ability to care for patients and work collaboratively with family members and me, and excel in nursing. He has made a positive impact on me and on our school community.

Frater Campos has participated in and documented every Omicron Epsilon Beta Chapter service project since he joined. For example, a Halloween treat drive, children’s coat drive, and 3 Kings Day Celebration for the Children’s Rescue Fund: Icahn House, a transitional shelter for homeless women with children, in Bronx, New York. The children and faculty at the Icahn House liked him right away. The children gravitated to him as he greeted them with his patented warm smile. He was also instrumental in a successful collaborative NMDP (formerly Be the Match) bone marrow registration drive at Lehman College in partnership with the Lehman College Nursing Student Association and the African Nursing Student Association.

Frater Campos has also attended and participated in Omicron Chapter Inc, Chi Eta Phi Sorority Incorporated community service and events at which he is warmly welcomed. For example, he was front and center in the Omicron Chapter Inc, Veteran’s Baby Shower at the Bronx Veteran’s Administration. He also fellowshipped with Omicron Chapter Inc and other
Chi Eta Phi Sorority Incorporated members at the Omicron Chapter 3rd Annual Prayer Breakfast.
