This was my first pregnancy and birthing experience. I came in expecting to be induced and have an epidural for pain management. However, things didn't go as planned. When things didn’t go as planned, with 3 failed epidurals, she stayed with me the whole time, encouraging me as I was laboring without pain management.

She kept a close watch on the monitors to ensure my and my babies' safety. She didn’t leave the room, gave up her lunch break, and made sure the doctors and other specialists were notified and present. Because of Heather, I was able to get through the birthing process, and my baby was delivered safely and well.

Heather is the type of nurse any woman would want for their first laboring experience. She is kind, compassionate, and empathetic. She was professional and very knowledgeable. She also came to check on me the next day. I can only hope any future experience, despite all the difficulties, is as good as this one. This is just a small token of the acknowledgment Heather deserves.
