Her compassion and proactive approach helped build a positive relationship with the mother, ensuring a great patient experience through her health visiting intervention.
She is a very compassionate and caring practitioner; she will go the extra mile to support both families, her team, and students. She is the main HV covering the City of London. Recently, she received this lovely feedback from one of the families.
"Hi, just wanted to give some feedback on our experience and the service my daughter and I have received.
My daughter, being my second child, I did not expect this level of care. I did not get this type of care with my first daughter 7 years ago. She is not only professional but also kind, caring, understanding, and consistently offers excellent advice. She has always kept in touch, calling to see how my daughter was getting on due to stomach issues, always smiling and making me feel comfortable. She is an absolute pleasure to have in our home, and we are very grateful for all the knowledge she has given me! Thank you!"
In addition to this, she has provided consistent support to a mother of a premature baby who was unexpectedly born while the family was visiting Norfolk. She maintained regular contact with the mother during what was an extremely stressful time, as the family worked to get the baby repatriated to a hospital in central London, including the Homerton. She showed incredible dedication by escalating the situation internally within the Homerton and ensuring the family’s concerns were addressed. Thanks to her persistence and support, the baby is now in the appropriate unit receiving the care they need. Her passion for her work is evident in her dedication to being a mentor. She enthusiastically embraced having a student health visitor who joined her in January and speaks about students with genuine passion, focusing on creating a nurturing and positive learning environment.
