She gives hope and a sense of a future despite cancer diagnoses. The writing course uplifts all participants and encourages us to dare to talk, write, and read to each other. She shows warmth by giving a hug, making one feel seen and welcome.

Felicia would thoroughly review my medical records and closely monitor every step of my treatment process. She would also attentively inquire about and observe both my physical conditions and emotional states. Throughout our therapeutic journey, she always gave great advice while still respecting my own thoughts. She generously praised even the slightest progress I made, encouraged me during my low moments, and gave me a gentle nudge forward whenever I felt indecisive. Her approaches made me feel she treated me with the genuine care of a close friend, devoting herself wholeheartedly to my well-being. Thanks to her guidance and support, I have gradually transitioned from being consumed by anxiety over my disease, sinking into despair, and withdrawing into isolation from the world, to slowly opening up to those around me while taking incremental steps to bravely confront both my health challenges and life's struggles. Felicia’s dedication to the patients and her work make her thoroughly deserving of the DAISY Award. 

I hope that the doctors and nurses at the oncology department have saved my life. But I know that Felicia has. She has helped me live through two incredibly tough years of treatments, examinations, bad news, and good news. Without her help, I don’t know where I would be today. For the rest of my life, I will be grateful for her wisdom, thoughtfulness, help, and support. She manages, like few others, to convey a warmth that lingers and a deep expertise in her profession and specialty. She deserves all the awards in the world!
