My 59-year-old brother had a brain bleed in Artesia, NM, and was flown to Covenant Hospital on October 7, 2024. We are on day 13 of this journey. Amanda is an amazing nurse. A true blessing God sends. I feel like she has turned the whole trajectory of my brother’s recovery to a positive outcome. His blood pressure and pain were out of control, not to mention his breathing and lung function.

Amanda came in with her huge heart and smile and took charge. She fully knows and understands all the options of medicines, what can be mixed, and the benefits and drawbacks. She informed us of every single step she was taking and why. She used vocabulary we understand along with the medical terms.

Once she got my brother through tough moments, she made sure the family was good as well. She was so interested in seeing my brother’s photos because she said the person she sees and cares for in bed is not the true person they really are in everyday life. Her energy, kindness, determination, and knowledge will forever make a difference in my brother’s life, my life, my nieces and our entire family.
