My husband was brought in by ambulance because he was having problems breathing. He had recently been diagnosed with cancer again, unfortunately. He was in so much pain that it was excruciating because it was in the bone. Danielle came in and listened to what was going on and empathized with his pain because she, too, had gone through cancer. She spent her whole shift constantly coming back to check on my husband, as well as figure out what mixture of medication was able not only to help lessen the pain but also keep it under control. She was so sympathetic and caring, and went above and beyond. She also talked to me to reassure me that she was going to do everything possible to help him. By sharing her story of what she went through, she showed that she understood his pain and was able to control it so he could rest and relax! She is truly an asset to Ellis Hospital, especially in the emergency room, which is severely understaffed. Thank you, Danielle, for helping to restore faith in healthcare at Ellis Hospital.
