I gave birth to my second child in October, and the care that I received was stupendous. Kiah helped educate my husband and me, ensuring we understood and were comfortable with everything. At one point, I remember talking about next steps, and I must have had a look on my face because she looked me in the eyes and said, “You tell me what you want”. It made me feel so safe to be in her care. I felt that Kiah was talking to me and not AT me. There are so many things Kiah did for me….she coached me through my epidural meltdown (my first birth was traumatic), she held my hands and distracted me, she let me shower, she made me feel like her number one priority. Kiah is everything Avera McKennan stands for. She made a life-changing event even more special with her kindness and bubbly personality. The care she provided proved she loves what she does. I will never be able to put into words the gratitude and gratefulness I have for Kiah.
