During my c-section, as the anesthesia took effect and my husband was not yet present, your voice was the only comfort I heard. You held my hand, sat beside me, and reassured me, “Everything will be okay. Keep breathing. I won't leave you until your husband arrives.” Even while scanning medication, you continued to hold my hand. Your words provided me with invaluable support during this critical moment in my life. After my son was born, taken to NICU for evaluation d/t to amniotic bands, you accompanied me to recovery, checking on me at every opportunity. You took the time to sit down and discuss my emotional well-being with my family and me and made sure I saw my son before being transferred to CHOP. I had more than just a nurse, I had an angel.
