Today, looking back, your career is not measured only by years of service, but by the lives touched, patients accompanied, professionals trained, teams strengthened, and dreams fulfilled.
In the hallways of every hospital, there are invisible footprints—marks that can’t be seen but can be felt. They are the footprints of those who have walked with dedication, strength, and a heart willing to serve. This is the story of one of those people: Ana María Espinosa.
Dear leader, what can I say? You were my first leader, the one who pushed and inspired me to grow, who saw my potential and made the path smoother for me—and not just for me, but for many others. You have an incredible eye for spotting people’s talents.
You went through every role throughout your journey in this institution, from patient care to becoming a director—a role that was far from easy, as you had to lead an entire hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, doing so in an extraordinary way. I admire your resilience, your leadership, your ability to listen and give feedback, your honesty, and your constant desire to see everyone around you flourish.
Thank you for arriving every day with a smile and a spirit that lifts us all.
You are not only a great nurse—you are a great person, leader, mentor, and friend.
That sensitivity, combined with your strength and vision, has made you a role model for all of us in nursing.
Today, looking back, your career is not measured only by years of service, but by the lives touched, patients accompanied, professionals trained, teams strengthened, and dreams fulfilled.
Your story reminds us that being a leader in nursing means being the steady voice in the storm, the sure hand in a crisis, and the soul that never forgets the nursing staff.
Thank you for showing us that true leadership in nursing doesn’t come from power, but from a love for caregiving. I know many people in this room, as well as in the heavenly realm, are proud to see you receive this well-deserved award. Now wear the DAISY pin that represents you with pride—a flower for another flower. Congratulations. I love you very much.
