For the past five years, Kerry has been my Pentec nurse, consistently going above and beyond her duties. We have developed a trusting relationship, and I know I can always depend on her when I need help. As a patient who lives alone in a wheelchair, my safety is a constant concern. Kerry’s dedication to my well being is genuinely exceptional. Recognizing the risks I face, she helped me obtain a life alert system, which has saved me multiple times from lying on the floor for hours after a fall. This has provided me with immense peace of mind, knowing I can get help quickly. In addition, Kerry’s proactive approach has been a source of reassurance for me. She suggested I get a half-bed rail to prevent falls when getting in and out of bed. Her profound compassion and willingness to go the extra mile are a testament to her commitment as a nurse. Kerry’s Unwavering commitment to my well-being has been my security source. She has made herself available outside of her regular hours to check on me after a fall, especially when I am worried about my pump. Her visits to ensure that my pump is functioning correctly are incredibly comforting.

During the COVID pandemic, when everyone stayed home to protect themselves, Kerry went above and beyond her nursing duties to ensure my well-being. With my limited mobility and the heightened risk of the virus, I stayed home to protect myself. When I had no worker or my family could not assist, Kerry stepped in to get my groceries after the refill visit. Her dedication and willingness to help me during such a challenging time were a lifeline and testament to her exceptional care and compassion. At her last visit, Kerry noticed that I was struggling with organizing my medications. She took the time, as she does every visit to go through my medication bottles with me and then helped me put all my pills into my pill case. This thoughtful assistance ensured I would not get confused and forget to take my medications. Given my difficulty in managing the pills on my own, her help was greatly appreciated. Kerry exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding nurse. Her dedication, compassion, and proactive approach have significantly improved my quality of life. I cannot think of anyone deserving of the DAISY Award than Kerry. I always say Kerry is my favorite nurse.
