Hunter was my Labor nurse for the delivery of our first child. I want to recognize her for this award because she was essential to the success of my labor. She was so compassionate, patient, and attentive to our needs. My husband also wanted to recognize her because he felt so supported and encouraged by her as well throughout the progression of my labor. There wasn’t an hour that she wasn't in our room, encouraging us both and advocating for me. I had to push for several hours, and not once did she falter in using a positive, encouraging tone, counting, and coaching both me and my husband. There is an immense amount of gratitude that I feel for her for helping me get my baby here safely. From what I understood from the doctor delivering my baby, she is like that with every patient. As a nurse myself, I know how much it takes to give of yourself like that every shift. I would love to see Hunter recognized by this award. She is beyond deserving.
