Whenever she works, she barely sits down because she’s so busy checking on her patients as well as other patients and helping her co-workers.
Katie was nominated by several colleagues who had this to say:
"Katie is not only a nurse and dear friend, but she is the kindest, sweetest, and most helpful person. She always has kind words to say. Katie is the first to come and offer help. She cares so much for her patients. Everyone on the night shift fights to work with her. She is the best at being a nurse. If anyone should get a DAISY recognition, she should. She will help even when it’s not her patient. She will stay over to make sure her patients are dry or want to go to the bathroom and the meds were ordered for them. We love her so much."

"Katie is such a compassionate nurse. Whenever she works, she barely sits down because she’s so busy checking on her patients as well as other patients and helping her co-workers. She comes in extra to help out, so her co-workers aren’t “drowning”. Katie is always so kind to everyone. I’ve honestly never seen her in a bad mood. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone. I always refer to her as a human version of sunshine. If asked by any of her patients, I know they would say the same things I have written. She does so much for her patients and deserves to be recognized for how amazing she is."
