His ability to sympathize with Quinn and empathize with my husband and me as parents helped to create a relaxed environment.
I am a longtime Pineville RN and a local Pineville resident. Last night, my 13-year-old son, Q, was playing basketball and had a collision that ended up with him breaking both bones in his arm. It was a gnarly break and quite shocking! We rushed Q to the ED, where we were promptly triaged and brought back to a room. Our care throughout the whole ordeal was awesome!

Specifically, I'd like to point out that our ED nurse was amazing and should be recognized. Q was very anxious, and our nurse was such a great person to help our family. His ability to sympathize with Q and empathize with my husband and me as parents helped to create a relaxed environment. His smile, laughter, and laid-back demeanor made us feel comfortable in a time when Q's injury was just not something we as parents could fix.

AC was up to date on all the sports that Q follows, which helped to distract Q with his friendly banter. He laughed with us when the meds made Q a little quirky, and at one point, Q wouldn't take my word for things and told me I needed to get his nurse. He established the trust I think all patients should have in the Nurse who is caring for them.

Our experience in the Pineville ED could not have been better! Everyone from the security guard, registration, HCT, Nurses, Radiology, PharmD, Respiratory, and Providers was amazing! I wish I could remember all their names. They provided an environment that was calming, reassuring, professional, and supportive. Even the pace at which we were treated was awesome! My husband and I were very thankful to have had prompt care so that we could get Q home and back to our other two kids. Thank you to all your staff for making a stressful situation as pleasant as possible!
