Nurse Wendy went above and beyond for my son and me after the delivery. She calmed every concern I had, helped us figure out how to get our car seat installed, made sure I had enough supplies to care for my son’s circumcision once we went home, and explained everything my partner and I needed to know in great detail, being SO patient with his need for repetition as a result of his disability.

Wendy was like a second mother to me as I sat in that hospital bed, clasping my newborn and feeling the most unsure I’ve ever been in my life. I’m not a hugger, but I made sure to give Wendy a big hug when she walked us to our car to take our baby home first the first time. I could not have wished for a more empathetic, patient, knowledgeable, and loving nurse. Wendy exemplifies exactly who and what a nurse should be!
