The day Christina came into the room, she was so caring, compassionate, gentle, and knowledgeable.  She was able to make suggestions for changing Mom’s meds to keep her comfortable and peaceful until she passed.
Christina was my mother’s nurse on her last day of life.  Mom was at EIRMC for hospice care due to complications of ovarian cancer and a complete bowel obstruction.  This was a very difficult time for all of us.  With my father and siblings, we were at the hospital all day and night for over 1 week to be with Mom as she passed.  We had been struggling with what was happening to Mom, how to best keep her comfortable, and what to expect next.  The day Christina came into the room, she was so caring, compassionate, gentle, and knowledgeable.  She was able to make suggestions for changing Mom’s meds to keep her comfortable and peaceful until she passed.  Christina was also very supportive of the family and had to repeat to 4 siblings and my dad the condition of my mother and what to expect, as she got closer to passing.  Christina showed true compassion and interest in us and my mother’s life.  If Christina ever wanted to be a full time hospice nurse, she would be amazing, I have a feeling she would be amazing at whatever she chose to do.

I want Christina to know she was really a breath of fresh air for us on Mom’s last day with us.  The other nurses had been very sweet and kept up with the pain meds but Christina offered the emotional care we had been craving and I thank her from the bottom of my heart.
