Jen was so very helpful with all my questions and gave us thorough, articulate responses and solutions and, of course, sweets for the little ones.
This month has been a stressful one for our family, especially for Mama. With two ER visits in the books just this month. We have had two wonderful experiences this past month. All because of Jen. Our first encounter with Jen was when our 10-year-old son fell off his bike and hurt his arm pretty badly. My spouse and I quickly rushed him to the Logan County Emergency Room with his little brother and sister in attendance as well. Upon arrival, she immediately saw that I was on the brink of trying to hold it all together. I was trying to be a mom to every little one asking me 500 questions while also listening to the PA and other Nurses on duty, who were asking us questions and helping our son get situated. Jen never hesitated to step in and help us with our little ones. While also doing her job, taking care of our oldest son, and reassuring him that everything would be all right. He was starting school and would soon play his first football game. He was very concerned about the next steps. Jen assured him he would have many more games to play and that she was concerned about his arm healing first. The PA confirmed he did, in fact, have a buckle fracture. Jen was so very helpful with all my questions and gave us thorough, articulate responses and solutions and, of course, sweets for the little ones.
Our 2nd encounter with Jen was today. I was picking up our children from school today, and our daughter climbed over my backseat, cutting open her elbow. Having to rush up the street to Logan County Emergency Room with all 3 children by myself and their daddy on his way. When we got there, my daughter's arm and my hands were pretty covered in blood. As soon as the doors opened for us to go back, I recognized her. Once again, she was there, ready to help us with a big smile and all the confidence to reassure us everything will be okay! I knew immediately that she would care for our daughter as if she were her own. This made this process abundantly less stressful. As I could be washing and cleaning myself up. I did just that while the girls cleaned up and calmed our daughter down. All while also once again helping with the other two kiddos. Easing all the questions they might have and asking how their first few weeks of school have been. Jen was also a preceptor for her nursing student. With some good ole Dermabond and butterfly strips, and of course, sweets, our daughter was good to go. We are so very thankful to have had Jen as our nurse both times! Jen is such a blessing to our community!
