My husband was waiting for his 2nd immunotherapy treatment. When Becky came to the waiting room to take him back, she mentioned a change in the medication. She assumed we knew this from the oncologist already. I told her we knew nothing about it, that the oncologist had never contacted me about anything for weeks. I began to cry because of my frustrations, and Becky was wonderful. She explained about the change and why the doctor had recommended it. She sat with us and let me vent to her. She answered all my questions and concerns. Her chair side manner was very comforting. Things have improved regarding communication with the oncologist, but I was very relieved to know that every 3 weeks we will be at the infusion center and that Becky, or a colleague, will be there to calm me, answer all my questions, and let me know everything will be ok. I can’t thank Becky enough for being there with us.
