June made me feel like I was her number one priority at that time, and it was very comforting!
I was admitted to the hospital at 34 weeks pregnant with preeclampsia. The decision was made to induce labor, knowing my baby would be premature and have a NICU stay. As expected, that was an extremely stressful and scary time. June came on shift as our nurse right around that time. She made sure not only me but also my husband was taken care of. She answered any and all questions we had about having a premature baby, and if there were things she didn’t know, she made sure to find out.

Shortly after, my doctor made the decision to proceed with a C-section (which I did not want to have to do). I, of course, was extremely upset and crying, and June even cried with us. That’s where I realized how much she truly cared! She did her best to make jokes and laugh with us as we awaited the operation. June made me feel like I was her number one priority at that time, and it was very comforting! I was admitted for four additional days following the operation, and June did her best to ensure she was our nurse during that time. She lit up the room every time she would come in, even in our most stressful times! For that, I will always be extremely thankful!
