I was referred to the CCHS wound clinic to treat a varicose vein leg ulcer that had developed on the inside of my left ankle. This has been a chronic condition that I have faced over the past 30 years, and I have visited many offices and clinics over that time. From my first visit, the entire team, receptionist, nurses, nurses' assistants, nurse practitioners, and doctors have been exceptional with my care. They got the job done! Along with my wound care, I was also treated for the primary cause of the wound, which included vein ablation. The team provided me with instructions regarding my care leading up to and after the procedure, which helped me greatly in my ability to care for the wound during that time and also prepared me for the procedure. Unfortunately, by no fault on anyone's behalf, except my obvious clumsiness, I experienced a fall at the clinic. The entire team responded immediately and assessed me and any possible injuries. As it turned out, the injuries were minor, and I was fine driving home. The next day, I received a phone call asking about my condition and asking questions about my well-being.
