I am writing this letter to nominate the extraordinary team of nurses, doctors, and midwives who cared for me during an incredibly difficult and frightening time. Their unwavering dedication, expertise, and compassion saved my life and made an unimaginable experience bearable.

After an emergent C-section, I suffered severe hemorrhaging. A few days later, I returned to the OR for a complicated bleed and went into acute respiratory failure. In those terrifying moments, the team worked quickly and efficiently, performing life-saving measures to stabilize me. The skill and coordination of the entire team were nothing short of miraculous. They not only saved my life but ensured I was closely monitored as I recovered, never leaving my side as I navigated such a precarious situation.

Beyond their technical skills, what truly stood out was the way the team cared for my newborn baby, my husband, and my parents during such a traumatic time. Every step of the way, they communicated clearly with my family, offering comfort and reassurance. The care they provided to my baby, ensuring his well-being, was remarkable. They made my husband feel supported and included, knowing that he, too, was going through a range of emotions. My parents were deeply grateful for the empathy shown to them, as they were understandably overwhelmed with the situation.

The entire team exhibited an exceptional level of care, not only medically but also emotionally. Their compassion and dedication made all the difference during the darkest moments of my life. I will be forever grateful to them for not only saving my life but for the kindness and respect they showed my family and me throughout my care.
