On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, a little after 3:00 pm, I had just gotten off my lunch break. I picked up a job on 7North. I went down to the transport room to get a stretcher, so I grabbed a couple of peanut butter crackers to eat on the way. As I was getting off the elevator on 7North, I started choking. I tried to clear my throat, but it only got worse. I ditched my stretcher and ran to the front deck on 7North, gasping to breathe. Nurse Austin was standing at the front counter. He realized what was happening. He immediately came over to me and started the Heimlich maneuver. I then recovered from the ordeal with no broken ribs. Thank you so much, Nurse Austin!
