I do appreciate the respect and dignity that she showed to my mom while she was recovering from this virus.
Ali took care of my 85-year-old mother when mom was admitted to the hospital for RSV. The level of care that Mom received was amazing from all the nurses, but what stood out to me was the patience and caring that Ali showed to my mom. My mom is mostly deaf and cannot hear when you talk to her, so it’s hard to communicate, and Mom is not always quick to read words that we write down on a board for her. No matter how many times Ali had to communicate with Mom, she always showed much patience and understanding of Mom’s condition. I know how difficult being a nurse is as they are being pulled in many different directions at the same time, and I do appreciate the respect and dignity that she showed to my mom while she was recovering from this virus. One time, when Mom was ordering lunch, Ali waited patiently for Mom to tell her what she wanted. I, on the other hand, was more impatient than Ali was. I’m like, come on, mom, hurry up, and Ali just stood there and smiled and said whenever she’s fine. So, I truly appreciate how my mom was treated by her.
