Dana is a true treasure, we would not have been able to hold ourselves together to be able to truly be present for our last hours with our baby had she not been the nurse and person that she is.
Dana is an absolute angel. We lost our baby on February 7th, and she was our day nurse all three days we were in the hospital. There aren't enough words for the kindness she showed my husband and me throughout losing our daughter. She was able to distract us and keep us talking about happy things, focused on how beautiful and perfect she was, and reassured us every step of the way how loved she was and that she talked to her when she had to take her out of the room to weigh and measure her and take footprints.
She went out of her way to make sure we had hand and footprints and molds made, even though it was extremely difficult with her size. Dana wrapped her in the hat and blanket we brought her, which were intended to be what we'd take her home in, and made her look so angelic and lovely. She even walked us out of the hospital and kept us talking and thinking about the positives in our lives instead of the fact that we were having to leave without our baby girl.
There are so many little things Dana said and did that showed how deeply she cares and how knowledgeable she is about helping families through impossibly heartbreaking situations. Truly, we would not have been able to get through it without her kindness, she helped us have time with our daughter to say goodbye. She made sure we had pictures with her together and reassured us that the man from the funeral home was very kind. Dana is an amazing person and an incredible nurse. Not only is she exceptionally kind, she is also knowledgeable and very proficient.
She guided us through the worst moments of our lives, and we will forever appreciate her for everything she did for all three of us. Truly, there are no words to say how thankful we are. Dana is a true treasure, we would not have been able to hold ourselves together to be able to truly be present for our last hours with our baby had she not been the nurse and person that she is. She instilled confidence in us and helped us navigate everything we had to go through.
