Leela is an extremely compassionate, intelligent, thoughtful, and experienced nurse who we are lucky to have working in the Clinical Assessment Team.

She is exceptionally skilled in all areas of community nursing, especially end-of-life care, where she has repeatedly shown an ability to manage the most challenging cases. She builds special connections with patients and their families/friends and goes out of her way to think of creative solutions to help keep patients out of hospital, particularly at the end of life when home is their preferred place of death. 

Further to this, she is always professional and myself and the whole team have learnt a great deal from Leela. She is ready and willing to share her clinical skills and knowledge, and students and fellow team members have regularly mentioned how good a teacher she is. 

She is hard-working and deeply committed to community nursing.
