Mrs. Amanda got to work with my daughter a few times over her weekend stay. She was so warm and compassionate and made my daughter feel so special. She was very precise and accurate when placing the IV. There was a hiccup with one IV placement, and she and the other Nurse took care of it. My daughter cried so hard when removing and replacing an IV that she vomited, and these two were right in the middle. I felt so bad for them. They cleaned us all up, including themselves, and still got to work! God bless them. She upchucked right in the middle of Mrs. Amanda locating the IV and applying the numbing agent. You find and place the IV, then mess happens all over my daughter, blankets, Nurses and Mommy, they cleaned us up and Mrs. Amanda still verified the correct spot for the IV and placed it on one try! My daughter had had a few IVs over her 2 weeks stay, so all the easy spots were already used. Mrs Amanda and the other Nurse worked together and secure that IV was so good it lasted 3 more days til discharge without issue! They were so good and worked exceptionally well together!
