On behalf of my mom and my whole family, we want to give huge thanks to Emma Finegan. 

I don’t know where to begin! But Emma was great with my mom and with all of us family members. 

When we had questions or doubts, she would answer them without any problem, even if we had a lot of silly questions. 

She transmitted a lot of calm and trust. 

When my mother felt pain or discomfort, Emma rushed to give her meds or help her out however she could. She is so nice and loving. 

She called my mom sweetheart and other loving nicknames that made my mom’s days happier. 

After getting to know several nurses, my family members and I realized that the best nurse (for us and my mom!) is a perfect mix of being nice, human, and understanding, with being smart and quick. Emma Finegan had all of it. 

One of the scariest moments for me as a daughter was when my mom didn’t wake up from her sleep because of a medicine she was given for nausea. There was clearly something wrong. But Emma was there, and I trusted her to bring my mom back to normal. A few moments later, Emma did just that. I’m no doctor, so I don’t know what she did, but she was smart and quick to put medicine to wake her up again. She is amazing!

Even on the days we did not have her as nurse, she would say hi to us and come to have a quick chat to my mom’s room. Her positive attitude gave my mom hope! 

As my mom just told me, Emma made me feel safe and hopeful that everything would be okay.  

Emma is an amazing human being, and she deserves the best in this world, including this award and many others. 

If you read this, thank you, Emma. 

You might say that’s your job and that it was nothing, but for us it was EVERYTHING. 

You made an impact on our family, and I will never ever forget you!
