I was in the Ann Arbor VA hospital and had a lot of nurses and doctors attending to me. I was supposed to get a heart Cath procedure, which eventually happened late on December 20th. It seemed to take a long time for the participants to decide how they would proceed with me, or as the saying goes, too many cooks spoil the broth. In any case, I was delighted by the excellent care I received and how many great nurses and doctors I had, especially three people I'd like to nominate for honorable mentions. Mairin is outstanding, and somehow, we became friends. Always checking on me, even when they were not assigned to my care. She was very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of information, which made my stay so much better. People made me feel like I wanted to live near them and continue to be good friends with them. I'm 83 years old, and believe me, this notion does not happen to me very often. There are over 240 people living in my Senior High rise, I've lived in for the past five and a half years, and not one of them is a good friend of mine.
