My dad has been in the hospital for 16 days and I have been incredibly impressed with all of his n,urses and nursing assistants and so thankful for their compassionate care. That said, Nurse Dave stands out among this impressive group for his exemplary care. We met Dave about half way through this journey when my dad was just starting to come out of serious delirium.

Dave went above and beyond to help my dad both physically and mentally. He had the perfect combination of compassion and a sense of humor. Dave cared for my dad for several days, and he was consistently attentive. He encouraged my dad to work hard and improve his strength. He also spent time getting to know my dad and visiting with him about the things that he enjoys - especially entertaining his stories about hunting and his polar bear.

While my dad was here, the Doctor told us he had a 1/3 chance of, not leave the hospital. There were many days when he didn’t even recognize me. Today we are checking out and heading to transition care. I honestly believe a huge amount of credit goes to Dave and his exemplary care for helping my dad stay positive and strong. I cannot thank you enough, Dave.
