Being in the hospital was an incredibly frightening and unnerving experience, but under her care and guidance, my fears were immediately alleviated. She treated me with respect and kindness and made my family feel at home.
I was brought to the Mountain View ER on Monday night for fainting and was transferred to 3South under the care of this nurse.  The following Tuesday morning, this nurse immediately introduced herself and made me feel at home. She gave me state-of-the-art care while caring not only for me but for every other patient on the ward.  She took care of my every need, which ranged from requests for crackers for my nausea, making sure I had a sandwich to call my stomach and nerves, and caring for me unlike any other nurse I have ever encountered.  Being in the hospital was an incredibly frightening and unnerving experience, but under her care and guidance, my fears were immediately alleviated. She treated me with respect and kindness and made my family feel at home. We were assured that me being in her care was the best possible place I could be. She checked on me regularly and administered my meds with kindness and full explanation, so I had no fear and knew exactly what I was receiving and why.  Not only is she a highly competent nurse, but the way she also treated me and my family definitely contributed to my quick recovery. While I would never wish for friends or family to have to be in the hospital, if they were, I would refer them to MountainView Hospital. They would be blessed and forever grateful to be in the care of such an Extraordinary Nurse. I can see that her fellow staff and physicians respect her well because she puts her patience first and foremost in her work, her time, and in her heart.  I am so lucky and eternally grateful that her to be assigned to my care.  She is a marvelous, competent nurse who is incredibly knowledgeable and a true asset to MountainView Hospital and their nursing staff. Please do not take this incredible employee for granted… EVER.

Jackie has made my stay here in Mountain View as comfortable and as delightful as I would have any of my immediate family and close friends. She greets me with an upbeat and positive demeanor every shift she comes in. This nurse clearly understands that her patients come first.  Even when I know she is busy, when she is attending to me, I felt her full attention and compassion!  I want to thank you for making my stay exceptional. MountainView Hospital is very lucky to have a representative of the high level of professionalism in its nursing staff.

Jackie comes into the room for the first time with a huge smile on her face. That is so important when in the hospital.  She made us so at ease and listen to us.  She is a blessing. She always had a smile and greeted me even in the hallway, all of the staff here was great, but this nurse stood out to me. She is very deserving of this award.

The level of compassion this nurse showed me during my stay here was at a level I have not seen or experienced during my mini-stays here. She held my hand during a painful wound care as if I were her family. I will never forget her. She will forever remain in my heart, embodying the very essence of the spirit of the DAISY Award.

With this nurse, you can never go wrong by acknowledging her dedication for her love of service to patient and family. She is always “service with a smile”!! Conscientious in dealing with any problems that may arise during her shift and beyond.  I’m a recipient of her dedication to nursing care and advocacy as well. You have thousands of dedicated staff, but I believe she rises up beyond just service; it’s also the precious care she renders to her patients, the constant smile that is very encouraging to those needing her advice to get well.  Please, if you can, render thanks to her dedication. Please take care of her as she takes care of all the patients she has been assigned to serve. Thank God, bless you all.
