I want to nominate Shari Anderson in Labor and Delivery for a DAISY Award. She was with me the entire shift during my delivery. She never left my side! She didn’t even step out to eat her lunch, although we told her to! She was incredibly supportive of my labor and helped calm my nerves as a first-time mom. She maintained a calm and positive atmosphere in the room. It was such a wonderful experience. She advocated for me and never pressured me to do anything I didn’t want to do. She was truly a saving grace that day. She was definitely called to do this job, and you don’t find many nurses like her.

Shari is the most wonderful Labor and Delivery nurse I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting. Although I was giving birth to my fifth baby, this was the first time I experienced an induction. Shari listened to my wishes for the most natural and hands-off experience possible. She immediately embraced my wishes and worked extra to help me achieve the best birth experience possible. Thanks to Shari, the birth of my daughter transformed from an unexpected and stressful situation to one filled with joyful memories. Shari is truly a gift, and I am grateful that she was my nurse.
