Patti truly has a gift for connecting to people and making them feel like their true, genuine selves -- even during their last days on earth
Nomination #1:
Patti really has a gift. She is an exceptional nurse who is highly knowledgeable and personable with every single patient. We recently had a patient transition to hospice care -- some of us from the clinic went to say goodbye to him, which can often be an uncomfortable part of our job. We may not know the right words to say -- and that's okay. Patti knew exactly what to say. She made the patient and his family feel so at home with her words and comfort. She truly has a gift for connecting to people and making them feel like their true, genuine selves -- even during their last days on earth. I hope to continue to learn from her and one day be able to have conversations with such ease. Patti is a phenomenal nurse, and everyone in infusion looks up to her.
Nomination #2:
My first time having chemo treatment was scary. Patti explained everything well, and I felt so much better. She really has a wonderful way about her – like she's been one of your closest friends your whole life upon first meeting her. She always goes out of her way to step in and take a minute, even if she is not assigned to me. She's extremely kind, always asks how I've been feeling and when she asks, her tone and her voice is super caring.
