On another day, my husband’s port needed to be replaced because the one he had was in place for too long. Pablo had a student nurse shadowing him. He asked if we would let her do it with his guidance. We said yes. Pablo is an excellent trainer and teacher. He is very patient and thorough. He ensured the student had all the necessary equipment. They talked through the whole procedure. Once they started, he guided her by asking questions about how and why they were doing each step. When she asked questions, he always answered with explanations. I felt Pablo was doing all he could to help her succeed. And she did! When he found out we weren’t leaving on Monday, Pablo noticed my stress and made an extra effort to check for updates and keep me informed. He also checked on me to see if there was anything I needed. Pablo always discussed pain management and what was available when my husband didn’t want or need it. We were blessed to have Pablo take care of us for six days. Thank you.
