My 80-year-old mom was in the ER after a trip/fall and landing on her face.  After checking multiple CTs, etc., she was cleared to go home once her blood pressure was stabilized.  She was placed in a quiet room and treated by Nurse Christine, with compassion that nearly made me cry.  My mom hadn't eaten or had water for at least 11 hours, she had a headache from the fall, lack of food, stress.  We were SO CLOSE to going home.  Christine administered the blood pressure medications, but also brought food, water, and warm blankets to help my mom relax.  She was gentle, cheerful, and genuinely concerned about my mother.  Now, this may all sound like run-of-the-mill nursing behavior, but there was something more to it: Most impressively, she treated my mom as if she knew her and liked her. I am very grateful to have ended our day-long experience in ER with Christine's care.  Kaiser Roseville is lucky to have her on the team.

My husband was told to come in via the advice nurse and the ER doctor. My husband had a tooth abscess, and had been throwing up for 4 hours (2 of them while in the hospital). He is on a blood thinner for a genetic blood clotting disorder, which complicates dental issues. Christine, our nurse, was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and honestly just has a good soul. Medications were provided once we finally got to the treatment space. I would not only recommend her for my family and yours, but I would also love to have her as a colleague. Kaiser, you are lucky to have her!!!
