Penny did not just listen to me, she heard what I was saying!
I have been an inpatient on 4D for what feels forever and I honestly believed that I would not have been discharged if it wasn’t for Penny. I was admitted on in May of 2024. I am a generously round patient who is totally bed bound. After no nursing home or district hospital close to my home wanted to care for me, the Nursing Director presented the idea of going to Campbell Town to my husband and me. I dug my feet into the ground as I was being faced with losing all of my personal connections with being placed in a facility which would have been a 3 hour round trip for my husband to come and see me.

I voiced many of times that I just wanted to go home. I am very thankful for Penny who listened and shared my desire and determination for wanting to go home. Penny and the 4D team set into action a plan to assist with achieving my goal. Penny did not just listen to me, she heard what I was saying! I cannot thank her enough for being the kind-hearted and compassionate nurse that she is. I went home in February of 2025 because of Penny!
