My nurse manager is amazing. She transitioned into this role as a new nurse leader and has demonstrated consistent engagement as an advocate for her department and team. She has led the interventional radiology RN team from the before times, before I was here, when the radiologists did 2-3 cases per day, and has helped us grow to 12-15 per day and now to present-day goals as the unit performs 15+ cases per day! Our nurse unit is entirely CAMC hires, no travelers. It’s one of the best teams I’ve ever been a part of.

Despite the big transitions our unit has gone through with caseloads, challenges, and radiology uncertainties, we have had overall good retention and an amazing team that she has built under her leadership. They all help each other, and as a team, they just get it done. They are a joy to be around, and it is all because of this nurse manager’s leadership that fosters hard work, teamwork, and growth. She is a superstar. Because of her, we were able to create this new service line for CAMC and its patients.
