Amanda has shown an incredible amount of compassion and care for a recent patient who was a victim of a house fire. She has worked tirelessly with the patient, his family, insurance companies, medical equipment suppliers, and the Red Cross to obtain the necessary equipment for his home. This effort continued even after the patient was discharged. Amanda worked with multiple agencies to ensure the patient could return home with all the necessary equipment after a short stay in a nursing facility, once his specialized wheelchair became available. She made daily visits to this patient to keep him and his family updated on the process. This was yet another example of Amanda going above and beyond for this patient and his family. She ensured the patient was comfortable with all discharge plans and even came in on her day off to see him off to the next stage of his healing journey.
