My husband was admitted 3 days ago after seriously breaking his right leg and spraining his left ankle. His break was serious enough that they had to wait until the swelling went down before they could do the operation. They told us it would be 7-10 days before the soft tissue is ready. My husband does not like hospitals, but he has been trying his best to deal with this situation the best he can. His pain med regimen was important in keeping him comfortable and managing his pain. Linda was our nurse on the 1st and the 3rd day. She is so caring and understanding to all of her patients. She was the only nurse who was on time for his pain meds, the only nurse who showed she really cared about her patients.
