In April, the patient fell in the bathtub, tore her knee, and hurt her back. While waiting to go to physical therapy, she often went to the ER for pain management. One time she was there, she became incontinent, and Caitlin was so understanding, patient, and compassionate. She stated, “You normally get embarrassed in this type of situation, but Caitlin kept me from feeling that way.” She felt as though she was cared for like family. Caitlin cleaned her up very well and put in a purwick. They had the best conversation of her family and Caitlin kept her attention as her pain meds were being administered so she didn’t notice the pain so much. Caitlin even made sure her husband was comfortable as well. All of their questions were answered before they could even ask. She said if she ever has another hospital visit, she is taking Caitlin with her if it’s not at Terrebonne General. She doesn’t want anyone else to care for her.
